Richard Lafrance

By the age of 18, Richard Lafrance had decided that he would work in the music business. Over the years, Richard has been a reggae critic as well as creator and host of the reggae show, Basses Fréquences, for a Montreal community radio station. His interest in Eastern Caribbean soca music has brought him to the Trinidad & Tobago Carnival. Today, steel pan music, calypso, parang, groovy, and power soca all have places in his heart alongside his first Jamaican loves: mento, ska, rocksteady, reggae roots, and dancehall.
